RECOVER BODY OF MAN HUNTED IN STAMP THEFT

The body of Roy Stephani, 60, retired postal employe who had been missing from his home at 135 N. Wolf rd., Des Plaines, since July 16, was found floating in the sanitary canal near North Shore av. in Lincolnwood yesterday.

The body was clothed in underwear, a shirt, and two pairs of socks. Stephani's outer clothing, his spectacles, and his wallet, containing identification papers but no money, were found a week ago under a bridge over the canal at Church st., Skokie.

Stephani, prior to his disappearance, had been sought by postal inspectors for questioning in connection with the disappearance of 450,000 stamps of 10-cent denomination, printed 30 years ago and considered of philatelic value.
