Obituary of James Edward Moran
CW02 James Edward Moran, US Army, Retired, age 80, of Pass Christian, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at home in Woolmarket.

Jim was born March 12, 1929. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

He was retired from the Army after serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He then retired Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base in DPDO.

Jim was a Past Master Mason of Polar Star Lodge #154, Handsboro. He belonged to Scottish Rite Bodies of Gulfport and was a 33rd Degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna May Winstead Moran; step-mother, Rose Ladner Moran; father, Buford Edward Moran; brother, Joseph P. Moran; son, James A. Moran and grandson, Jason R. Guthrie.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Marie Husley Evans Moran; siblings, Rodney (Margret) Moran of Jackson, Alvah Moran of Saucier, Mary Shelby of D'Iberville, and Sister Flo Albertson of Los Angeles; children, Sharon (Danny) Husley of Biloxi, step-son, Edwin (Gail) Evans of Woolmarket, Donna (Mike) Guthrie of Wiggins, and Andrea (David) Talbot of Woolmarket; 7 grandchildren, Tristan Guthrie, Jody Moran, Sam Evans, Shawn Evans, Jerrica Guthrie, Danielle Smith, Jamie Moran, and Tiffany Talbot; 3 great grandchildren, Jacob, Tristan and Cortland; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009, at Coalville United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery.

The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
