Funeral services for Worthy Everett Gash, 73 of San Joaquin, a former police chief of that community, will be conducted Monday at 11 AM in the Lisle Funeral Home. Burial in the Belmont Memorial Park will follow.
Gash was the police chief for seven years, starting in 1941. He lived in Fresno from 1927 to 1941. He was a native of Missouri.
Surviving are his widow Pearl: two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Greer of Fresno, Mrs. Vera Gash of Texas, two sons, Lavon Gash of Fresno and Maurice Gene, with the army in France; four brothers, Ben and Archie, both of Fresno, Earl of Davis, Yolo County and Artie of Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Verda Gatlin of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren
