Funeral services for Mr. James "Jim" Thibodeaux, 72, of Sulphur, will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Father Joseph Gosslin will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Robison Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m., Monday, November 30 from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Thibodeaux passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Sulphur hospital. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents, Charlie and Lula Thibodeaux; sister, Mabel Doucet; and two brothers, Gilfred and Harvey Thibodeaux.

Mr. Thibodeaux was a native of Mowata, Louisiana and longtime resident of Sulphur. He owned and operated Jim's Tile & Marble Company for over 48 years before retiring in 1999. Mr. Thibodeaux was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church for 51 years, where he was a head Usher and member of the Garden Angels. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He died after a six-month battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease).

Survivors include his loving wife, Louise Thibodeaux of Sulphur; three sons, Michael James, Philip, and Jeff Thibodeaux, all of Sulphur; one daughter, Anita Louise Thibodeaux of Sulphur; two brothers, Filton Thibodeaux and wife, Linda of Moss Bluff, and Raymond Thibodeaux and wife, Connie of Hackberry; three sisters, Hazel Gatlin of Baton Rouge, Flo Ella Ellender and husband, Willie of Sulphur, Hilda Thomason and husband, Lionel of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Brett James Starnes, Jennifer Louise Harris, and Lindsey Racheal Thibodeaux; and four great-grandchildren, Kyler Harris, Kay'Lynn Harris, Aayden Thibodeaux, and Mason Starnes.
