Death Claims Prominent Seymour Woman Folowing Paralystic Stroke- Born in Ohio in 1844

Seymour-Aug. 30__Mrs. Mary Dubson passed away at her home in Seyymour Monday morning, August 27, at 8:45 o'clock, from a week's illness due to a paralytic stroke. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Johnson and was born April 12, 1844, at Circleville, Ohio. She came to this state with her parents when two years of age an they located near Homer, later moving to Monticello, where she was married to Martin Dubson, September 6, 1863, in Monticello. She united with the Christian church at an early age. Thirty-five years ago they located near Seymour on a farm, where Mr. Dubson died January 6, 1906. There were eight children born to this union, Mrs. Elizabeth Holt dying in 1893. The following children survive there mother; Mr. Ella Lantham of Cohassett, Minn; Mrs. Clara Bowman, Thornton, Iowa; Wm. Dubson, John Dubson, Mrs. Effie Miller, Mrs. Julia Robbins, all of Seymour; and Mrs. Anna Gulick of Mahomet. She also leaves one half brother, Cephas Welch of Monticello, 33 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother to her children and a kind neighbor and she will be greatly missed by a host of friends.
The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the M. E. Church, Rev. M. M. Blair having charge of the services. Burial was in the Madden cemetery.
