Born December 14, 1904 in Polenz, Saxony, Germany, a daughter of Franz Otto and Alma Martha Knorr Drechsel.
Married Robert Miller in October 1927; later divorced. Married Herbert Thompson Chambers on December 24, 1929; later divorced.
Mother had a special love for her grandchildren. She enjoyed working outdoors and her vegetable and fruit gardens were a sight to behold. At age sixty, she learned to sew and became an expert seamstress. She made beautiful quilts and gave them to her children, new-born grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Member of the LDS Church, Edison Ward, Salt Lake Pioneer Stake and was a devoted Primary worker. She enjoyed helping the elderly. Mother was a survivor.
Survived by sons, Armand Miller and wife Ellie; Stanley Chambers; Donald Chambers and wife, Patsy; daughters, Elaine Green and husband Allen; and LaVon Johnson and husband Ronald; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Hilda Plant, Martha Waters, and Betty Randall. Preceded in death by father and mother; brothers, Carl, Walter, Hyrum, and Gerhardt.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 1990 at 1:00 p.m. in the Edison Ward Chapel, 1401 West 700 South. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
