Benj. Bass, aged about 45, died last night at the home of his mother Mrs. Lydia Bass, the result of lung trouble. He was a barber by trade and was born and raised in Bloomington and was always popular among the home folks. For some time he had worked in Columbus, Ohio, but was brought home sick three weeks ago. Besides his mother is a brother Will of Buffalo and a sister Mrs. Fines of this city. Funeral Wednesday.

The funeral of Benj. Bass, whose death occurred Monday evening, was Wednesday afternoon from residence of the mother Mrs. Lydia Bass on west 6th street. The brother William was here from Buffalo to attend. Rev. Moorman had charge and there was a large attendance.
