Born June 9, 1919 in Westover, MD, he was a son of the late Amos and Lydia (Kauffman) Ogburn.
He was a lifetime dairy farmer and a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, Gettysburg. Upon retirement, he drove bus for Adams County Transit Authority.
Walter is survived by his wife Irma B. (Brunk) Ogburn, to whom he was married for 66 years, and also surviving is one son, Wayne B. Ogburn and wife Shirley Davis Ogburn of York Springs; and three grandchildren, Wayne B. Ogburn, Jr. and wife Missy, Bradley K. Ogburn and wife Michelle, and Donna M. Hess; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Interment was in Biglerville Cemetery.
