The son of Nathaniel Wesley and Mary Elizabeth (Doles) Sentell of Cairo Plantation. N.W. outlived two wives: Bettie Lilley (Sherburne) and Annie Eliza (Sherburne). He suffered further tragedy when his fourteen year old daughter, Armena died suddenly in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1904. N.W. served on the Bossier Parish School Board for 42 years.
