EDWARDS, Thomas C. Born in Otterbein, Ind., August 18, 1898, the son of John E. (born Ky.) and Nancy Brooks (born Mo.) Edwards; married Blanche Clark; a laborer, he died in North Manchester November 24, 1958, at age 60-3-6. Services at Bender with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Obituary:
Thomas E. Edwards died at 6:00 this morning at his home, 108 South Sycamore street, after an illness of a year and a half. The body was taken to the Bender Funeral Home and will be returned to the family residence Tuesday morning where friends may call until noon Wednesday. The funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:00. The Rev. Walter House will conduct the service and burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetry.
Mr. Edwards was a son of John E. and Nancy Brooks Edwards and was born near Otterbein August 18, 1898. He married Blanche E. Clark September 25, 1920. She survives together with the following brothers and sisters: Earl Edwards, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Mrs. Marie Deno, Rensselaer; Mrs. Maude Hemelman, Fowler; Mrs. Jessie Gunn, Oxford; Mrs. Elmer Pyle, Portland; Mrs. Helen Vanderpipe, Logansport; Mrs. Elside Arbuckle, Scottsburg.
Mr. Edwards was a retired factory laborer. He was a member of the Gilbow Christian Church in Benton county, and of the Wabash Moose Lodge.
