CARSON, Mary E. 89, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2009 in Essex of Springfield. She was born on November 26, 1920 in Richwood, Ohio the daughter of Francis and Verna (Sutton) Moore. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, LaMar Carson. Mary was a longtime member of Grace Bible Church and a member of the Emmaus community. She and LaMar owned and operated the Forrest Hills Par 3 from 1964 to 2006. When they were not tending to the needs of their business they would travel around the world enjoying the sites of many countries but most especially, Ireland. She is also survived by one niece, one great niece, and one great nephew. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son, Freddy Carson, and sister, Virginia Warren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Marv Wiseman of Grace Bible Church officiating.
