Obituary - Joseph Adams passed away at his home here Thursday night, following an illness of several months' duration. He was a native of Smithtown, and was born here fifty-nine years ago, the son of Charles and Nancy Adams. He lived in Brooklyn, until two years ago, when he came back to retire.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Smithtown Landing Methodist Church, and Rev. Edward Jacobson was in charge. Interment took place in the Landing Cemetery.
Besides his wife, Mr. Adams is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Brenner and Mrs. William Butz, both of Bellaire, L.I., four brothers, DeWitt, Charles, Edward, and Herbert and four sisters, the Misses Fannie, Nancy, and Emily Adams.
