Suffering a heart attack after he had eaten a hearty supper Monday evening, Benjamin W. Lare, 81, husband of Sallie Lare, of 1136 Markley street, died almost instantly.
For many years Mr. Lare was a farmer in Worcester township and for the last 27 years resided in Norristown. He was employed at the Wildman Manufacturing Company for 23 years.
In addition to his wife, Sallie Lare, Mr. Lare is survived by eight children, 14 grandchildren, four sisters and a brother.
The children are: Joseph L. Lare and Eleanor C. Curll, both at home; Rachel L. Frick, of Penn Square; Evelyn C. Hallman of Trooper; Sara C. Brown, Mary Whartenby, Titus C. Lare and J. Wilmer Lare, all of Norristown.
The sisters are Mrs. Marian Wright, of Spring Mill; Mrs. Harry Phipps and Mrs. Ida Bailey, of Conshohocken, and Mrs. Frank S. Missimer, of Pottstown. The brother is Charles Lare, of Conshohocken.
Mr. Lare was a member of Bethany Evangelical Church.
The funeral will be held at 2.30 Saturday afternoon from his late residence. Interment will be at Worcester U. E. Cemetery. Friends my call Friday evening from 7 to 9.
