Aged 76yrs, 11ms, 22dys; pneumonia. She is buried with her first husband Fred Walther in an unmarked grave in the plot of their daughter Catherine Gough.

Sarah Walter Hartley died Friday, Aug. 22, 1919, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Susie Ranzenberger, North Eighth street, of complications, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 22 days.

Surviving are two sons, John and Henry Walter [sic/Walther]; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Gaugh [sic/Gough] and Mrs. Susie Ranzenberger. Funeral services at the residence of her daughter Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
