Mrs. Mae Roudebush, 66, retired school principal at the Marion County Tuberculosis Hospital at Sunnyside and a former teacher in Hamilton County, died Tuesday in her home in Indianapolis.
She had been ill the last four years. Her teaching career covered 35 years, including teaching in township schools of Hamilton County. Born at Perkinsville, Mrs. Roudebush was a member of Refuge Christian Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fairbanks Memorial VFW post and various educational organizations.
Surviving are her husband, Roy L. Rudebush and two sons, William L. and Richard L. Roudebush, who operate the Roudebush Commission Co. at the Indianapolis Stockyards. William Roudebush is president of the Indianpolis Livestock Exchange and Richard Roudebush is national vice-commander in chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Corbin and James Roudebush; and two sisters, Mrs. Nita Weber, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Glen Macy, Indianapolis.
