My mother, Barbara, was so loved and was a beautiful person with a fantastic personality. She worked in her father's store for most of her life while raising five children. She always had a smile on her face and loved to dance around the living room with anyone she could grab hold of. At age 34 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but you would never know it because she kept on living her life even during chemo treatments. The only sign of her illness and the only time I saw her cry was when she lost her beautiful hair. She wasn't down long and embraced her new red-haired wigs. She certainly looked as beautiful as ever to me. Life went on just about as usual for us because Mom didn't seem sick. As several years passed we hoped for the best, but that was not to be. After a long awaited vacation she returned home and I knew when I looked into her eyes that she suddenly was very ill.
I didn't know that in two short weeks she would be gone, but at the age of 39 she lost her fight against breast cancer.

The sound of her high heeled shoes on the sidewalk, the smell of her perfume and that beautiful smile.... Mom I will miss you forever...
