Phillip Stice was born November 20, 1849, in Scotland county, Mo., near Bible Grove and departed this life November 16, 1937, being at the time of his death 87 years, 11 months and 26 days.

He was married to Eliza Humphrey December 11, 1869. He is survived by six children, Harrison and Frank of Downing, Mo., Rufus of American Fork, Utah, Lonnie of Fallon, Nevada, Jimmie of Pocatello, Idaho and Miss Ella at home. 22 grand children and 21 great grand children besides a host of other relatives and friends.

He confessed his faith in Christ in early life, his membership being at Coffey at the time of his death, being the last member of the Coffey church. He continued steadfast in his faith attending church services until late years. Grandpa will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and I learned to love him especially in the home.

Funeral services were held at the Coffey church Thursday afternoon conducted by his grandson, Rev. Oscar Rush.
