Wilma Jean (Ray) Conway, age 76, of South Oklahoma City, passed away from this earthly life to accept her just reward... eternal rest and peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long hard fought battle with cancer and Alzheimer's/Dementia. At the time of her death she was living with her son and daughter-in-law, who were present at her death on Dec. 3, 2009. Wilma Jean was born Jan. 22, 1933, to Thomas Elmer Ray and Nina Ruth (Graham) Ray, in Joplin, Mo. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Wilma Jean was a member of Draper Park Christian Church. She married the love of her life, Harold T. Conway, on May 24, 1951. She enjoyed working cross word puzzles; find the word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, watching her stories on TV, her family and her son and daughter-in-law. She spent much of her life following her husband through his career. She was a blessing to all that came in contact with her, as well as her husband's ministry from 1964 to 2005.

Preceding her in death was her parents; brothers, E. Wayne and J. Darrel Ray; husband, Harold T. Conway, of 55 years; and daughter, Mitzie Jean Oberley.

She is survived by her son, Harold T. "Ted" Conway Jr. and wife, Lois Jean Conway, of South Oklahoma City; brother, James L. Ray, Galena, Kan.; grandsons, Kevin R. Howe, South Oklahoma City, Eric L. Spence, Joplin, Harold T. "Tres" Conway III and James Timothy-Neal Conway, South St. Paul, Minn.; granddaughters, Kimberly A. Robinett and spouse, Chris, South Oklahoma City, and Christel Jean Pennington, Joplin; great-grandsons, Nickolas S. and Joshua T. Robinett, South Oklahoma City, and Gage Pennington, Joplin; great-granddaughters, Karlee L. and Ashlin S. Howe, South Oklahoma City; and a host of other loving family and friends. Memorials may be made to The South Oklahoma City Rotary Club Foundation, P.O. Box 892285, Oklahoma City OK 73189-2285 in the name of Wilma Jean Conway. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home Sunday, Dec. 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Draper Park Christian Church, 8500 South Walker Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73139, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. The immediate family, Ted and Lois Conway would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Saleem Qureshi of the OU Senior Services Center for his care and compassion for going above and beyond in the care of Wilma Jean.
