Daniel Craig Day 48, of Brownsburg, went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2009, after a four month battle with pancreatic cancer. Dan was a 1979 graduate of Brownsburg High School and a graduate of IVY Tech. He was born on August 12, 1961 in Indianapolis to Donald R. and A. Lois (Haulk) Day. He was a machine repairman and a member of the Emergency Response Team with Automotive Components Holdings (Ford Motor Company) for 13 years. Dan was a volunteer fireman with the New Ross Fire Department. He was also a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg. Dan enjoyed hunting, boating, and snow skiing, and loved spending time with his family. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Lachelle Ebaugh Day; son, Quentin Day; brothers, Douglas (Nora) Day, and David (Bianca) Day; mother, Lois Day. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Day and his grandparents. Family and friends will gather on Mon. Dec. 7 from 4-8pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg for visitation with services officiated by Tim Hughes 2pm on Tues. Dec. 8 at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Jamestown IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church Outreach Program. Dan will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and co-workers.
