Robert Burgess Dally, 61, of Social Circle passed away on Feb. 17, 2007. He was a son of the late Thomas Barrett Dally and the late Lucy Burgess Dally. He was a graduate of Columbus College and the University of Georgia. He was noted for his architectural designs, buildings and restorations. Many beautiful homes in Social Circle and surrounding areas were designed and built by Bob. The original well structure which has become the symbol of the city of Social Circle serves as a daily reminder of his work. His work was featured in Tour of Homes, Southern Architectural magazines as well as national television programs. Because of his expertise in restoration, he was on many historical boards and committees in the northeastern Georgia area.
Surviving children: Rob and Kelly Dally, Social Circle, Clay and Melinda Dally, Monroe, and Whitney and Brock Crain, Monroe; grandchildren: John Major Hathaway, Burgess Dally, Dallas Dally, Shepherd Townsend, Eli Crain, Jacob Dally, and Natalie Dally; brothers: Tom B. and Kathy Dally, Jr., Covington, Hal and Rebecca Dally, Social Circle and John Dally, Holly Springs; aunts: Anne Dally and Mary Jo Whitley.

Funeral Services were held at noon on Feb. 21 at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Tribble officiating. Interment followed at Dally Family Cemetery. In lieu o flowers, please make contributions in Mr. Dally''s name to the Robbie Baldoni Memorial Skate Park Foundation. Robbie Baldoni passed away in December. He was very close friends with Mr. Dally's grandsons, Burgess and Dallas. Robbie also held a special place n Mr. Dally's heart.
