Daughter of Jesse and Phebe (Ribble) Buchner. Moved with her parents to Monroe Co., Wisconsin in the mid-1850s. Married first Adolph LaRonge in Flambeau Farms. Children George and Clarence Roy. The couple divorced in the late 1870s.

She next married Calvin Day (his fourth marriage) at the home of her parents in September 1883. Children Mary (married Harmon Snippen), Lewis (married Ruth Grictsen); Archie (married Louise Purpus); Arthur (married 1st Jennie Carey; 2nd Sadie Gallarno Olson; 3rd Esther Straight White).
