Zilpha "Zip" Webert, 81, Hilltop Manor, formerly of LaFargeville, died Friday at Community Nursing Home, Potsdam, where she had been a resident since August 1993.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville, with the Rev. Mark Pierce officiating. Arrangements are with Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam.
There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Colton Rescue Squad or the First United Methodist Church, LaFargeville.
She is survived by a son, John, Watertown; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Demo, South Colton; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Born Aug. 7, 1912, in Alexandria Bay, daughter of Roland and Clara VanAlstine Comstock, she attended Alexandria Bay schools.
She married Alfred R. Webert on June 6, 1931. Mr. Webert died in 1982.
Mrs. Webert worked in the cafeteria at LaFargeville Central School.
She moved to Colton in June 1991.
