Mrs. Cordelia Doty succumbed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bruce C. Dent, at 203 E. Second St., Berwick, yesterday. She was the wife of the late Francis E. Doty, whose death occurred 10 years ago. She had been in ill heath for 2 yrs. and confined to bed for 2 yrs.
Mrs. Doty, who was 78 yrs. of age, and who would have reached her 79th birthday on April 1st, was a native of New Columbus. She had lived in the community for the past 45 years.
The area woman was a charter of the First Christian Church of Berwick. She is survived by the following children: Walter Doty of Berwick, Harry Doty of Bloomsburg and Mrs. Bruce C. Dent of Berwick. There are 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Kelchner Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. Glenn Hall officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot at Pine Grove Annex.
