Herschul Glenn Holt, 77, Waldron, died Sunday at the Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born March 13, 1919, in Adair County, Kentucky, he was the son of Zachariah and Vina (Robinson) Holt. On March 11, 1946, he married Martha (Paul) Holt, and she survives.
Mr. Holt was an employee of the former Alley Saw Mill for 15 years, retiring in 1982. He lived in Waldron for 49 years, moving from Edinburgh. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, Glenn Holt and Bill Holt, both of St. Paul, and Jack and Jeff Holt, both of Waldron; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Huff, St. Paul, Mrs. Darrell (Paula) Yates, Edinburgh, Mrs. Edwin (Deborah) Kluemper, Milroy and Mrs. Ronnie (Kathy) Douglas, Waldron; 26 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Revs. Harold Holt and Ira Holt officiating. Burial will be in VanPelt cemetery in Shelby County. Military graveside rites will be performed by Shelbyville veteran's organization.
