❤ IN HONOR OF THOSE WHOM HAVE GONE BEFORE US BY KEEPING THEIR MEMORIES ALIVE WITH FIND A GRAVE! ❤

Her parents memorials that I had entered in 2003, sadly was deleted/merged and the new memorials do not contain all the personal oral and written documents I have

Info below, part of my original memorial I had for her father:

Oral and written letter fromErnest McPeak Jr
, interview with his grandfather John Jackson McPeak. John recalls the following of his father Jordan I McPeak.........His father (William) had a cousin by the name of Paddy Potts". Jordan helped put up the bell in the courthouse at Bowling Green Ky.During the Civil War, he and a friend, Frank Flippen, hauled salt up from New Orleans. They drove a 2 yoke (4 oxen) team and had to be very careful about obeying all he rules imposed by the confederates. However, they were captured once by the Rebels, they were asked for all of their money. Frank gave his up but Jerden refused. That night he slept between the two soldiers who finally took his money anyway. The next morning they were taken off about 12 miles and released. One night, he and his son John were out driving cattle. Jerden walked in front to keep the wildcats away and whoever else was with them rode in the wagon. Jordan's wife called him Ninnan, son JJ McPeak never learned where this nick name came from.

Betty Mcpeak, wife of Arnold Hezzie Blankenship, daughter of Jordan I McPeak and Fannie Mitchell. Loving aunt of Ernest McPeak JR

She was very interested in learning about her ancestry and helped Ernest with his genealogy research and helped located family members to interview.
