Violet M. Vittitoe, 85, died on November 28, 2001 at the Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Violet had lived in Council Bluffs since 1941. Violet was born in Blencoe on July 12, 1916. Her parents were Wilbur and Bertha (Marley) Hime. She graduated from Blencoe High School in 1933. She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She married on November 6, 1937 to Paul M Vittitoe. Paul's deceased date was July 9, 2001.

Survivors are a daughter, Virginia O'Neill and husband Bob of Underwood, Iowa; a son Ronald Vittitoe and wife Theon of Red Oak, Iowa; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother George Hime and wife Doris of Loveland, Colorado; 5 sisters; Frances Clay of Whiting, Iowa, Mary Broken and husband
Pete of Onawa, Iowa, Evelyn Purchase of Onawa, Iowa, Bonnie Stevenson and husband Bob of Onawa, Iowa, Luea Sorensen and husband Harold of Onawa, Iowa; brother-in-law; Carl Vittitoe and wife Wilma of Bellevue, Nebraska; nieces and nephews. Visitation was Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler Chapel. Service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Cutler Chapel. Paul Crane Chaplin of Risen Son Christian Village officiated. Burial was in the cemetery in Magnolia, Iowa.
Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society. Cutler Funeral Home handled arrangements.
