Forrest Ervin Chick, son of Ed and Virginia Chick, was born May 18, 1880, in Iowa. He departed this life November 5, 1953, at the University hospital in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 17 days.

As a small child he moved with his parents to the Chester community and lived there until 10 years ago when he moved to a farm near Hebron, Neb.

He was united in marriage to Emma Eurick January 24, 1907 (sic) and to this union was born three children. He was a member of the Christian church at Hebron, being baptized August 8, 1951.

He endured the hardships of the early days and always worked hard for the welfare and happiness of his family. He was a patient sufferer during his two years of failing health.

Mr. Chick was preceded in death by his daughter, Alta and son, Gomer, and his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing, besides his wife, one son Kermit of Elmonte, Calif.; three brothers, Clyde of Sidney, Neb., Charley of Ontario, Calif., and Jesse of Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Alta Foster of Shenandoah, Ia.; five grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Christian church in Chester November 9 with the Rev. Ed Bridwell of Hebron and the Rev. George Randall in charge. Burial was in the Chester cemetery (sic).
