Robin Dale Fuller, age 65, passed away at her home in Dunwoody, GA on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

She was born June 18, 1943, in Columbus, MS, the daughter of the late S.S. and Dorothy Dale. During her long career as an Atlanta educator, Robin taught thousands of young students, first at R.L. Hope Elementary School and then at The Lovett School, where she was a much loved and honored middle school English teacher for 39 years. The classroom was her focus in life. Robin was happiest when teaching her students whom she encouraged to be the best that they could be academically, athletically, and emotionally.

She will always be remembered by her classes as an instructor who cared deeply for their welfare and development into well-rounded adults. In 1984, she received one of the first Woodward Awards for outstanding teaching, and last year was named recipient of the Lovett Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching. Robin outlived her husband, Harold Fuller, by several years.

Robin is survived by her beloved brothers, Doug Dale of Jackson, MS, and Richard Dale and his wife of Houston, TX, and a half brother, Bob Dale, of St. Petersburg, FL, four nieces and a nephew along with nine great-nieces and nephews complete Robin's close family.

The funeral service will be held at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody, at 2 pm, Sunday, April 5, 2009. Interment will follow in Ridgeland, MS on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts in Robin's memory be made to The Lovett School, Advancement Office, 4075 Paces Ferry Road., Atlanta GA, or to Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody GA. Arrangements by H.M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, Sandy Springs , Ga.

Robin's sister-in-law Betsy Caldwell Dale (1947-2007, FAG ID 41090506) is also buried at Parkway. Betsy is the wife of Robin's brother Doug
