Mrs. Leonard was born April 9, 1897 in Atlanta, daughter of Franklin P and Blanche Hunter. She and Will Leonard were married in 1925 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William, Plainfield; Frederick, Evanston, Ill., a grandson, Ricky Leonard, Plainfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Kemp, San Mareno, Calif., and Mrs. Maude Illges, St. Joseph, Ark.
A graduate of Atlanta High School and Butler University, the veteran educator had taught schools at Noblesville, Tipton, Walnut Grove and in Jackson Township.
Active in church and civic organizations, she belonged to the Atlanta Methodist Church; the Arcadia Study Club; the newly organized Hamilton County reading club; the Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association and was a member and past president of the Buena Vista Home Ec Club, Atlanta.
She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Heights Health Center.
