Former St. Nazianz Business Woman Dies
Mrs. William C. Groh, former St. Nazianz business woman, died Friday morning at the age of 76 years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Francis (Helen) Belinske at Manitowoc. Funeral services took place on Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Gregory's church, at St. Nazinanz, with the Rev. Fintan Holzknecht officiating. Burial took place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Mrs. Groh was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Christian Mothers society. Mrs. Groh, nee Barbara Koenig was born in the town of Meeme April 6, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koenig. On May 21, 1894 she was married to William C. Groh, and the couple located in St. Nazianz, where they operated a general merchandise store for nearly fifty years. Mr. Groh died about 10 years ago, but Mrs. Groh and sons operated the store until last fall.

Survivors include 3 sons, Edward, William and Roland, all of St. Nazianz; two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Helen) Belinske of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frank (Rose) Schmidbauer of Sheboygan, and 17 grandchildren. One son, Leo, preceded her in death.

OBSERVE FUNERAL RITES ON MONDAY FOR MRS. W. GROH
St. Nazianz -- Funeral services will be held Monday morning for Mrs. William C Groh of St. Nazianz who passed away Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Francis Belinske of 1937 S. Tenth Street, Manitowoc.

Rites will be conducted at 10 o'clock at St. Gregorys Catholic church here with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Fintan Holzknecht will officiate. Friends may view the body at the former Groh home in St. Nazianz after 7 o'clock this evening.

Born April 6, 1870, in the town of Meeme, the former Barbara Koenig married William Groh on May 21, 1894, in St. Fidelis church there. Moving to st. Nazianz the couple operated a general merchandise store there for approximately 50 years, although her husband preceded her in death 10 years ago.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality and Third Order of st. Francis of the parish.

Surviving are three sons, Edward, William, and Roland of St. Nazianz, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Schmidbauer of Sheboygan and Mrs. Francis Belinske of Manitowoc, and 17 grandchildren.
