CLAY GUNN Dies in WISCONSIN

Henry served the Union during the Civil War. He enlisted in the 7th Missouri Regiment, Enrolled Militia that was later reorganized as the 15th Missouri Calvary Regiment. It was attached to the District of Southwest Missouri, with duties to scout and patrol the District and route out guerilla or armed rebels when found.

In the 1870's Henry moved his family to Oregon, where daughters Una and Ona were born. After a few years they returned to Missouri.

In August 1919 they decided to visit their son Timothy in Oregon. Enroute, they stopped to visit their son Samuel in Wausaukee, WI. There they learned Timothy had died in Oregon. Not long after Henry died in Wausaukee. His body was returned to Missouri for burial.

Charity went on to Oregon with her daughters Lucy and Una. When she lated died in Oregon, her body was also returned to Missouri and she was buried next to her husband in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar.
