He was born July 6, 1922 in the town of Forest, Fond du Lac County, son of the late Henry and Mary Schaefer Hochrein. He attended St. Cloud Catholic Grade School and served in the United States Air Force in Guam. Mr. Hochrein worked as a carpenter in Fond du Lac and later for the Manitowoc Shipyards and recently at Mirro Corporation, Manitowoc. He was never married.
Survivors include a sister, Agnes (Isadore) Braun, Fond du Lac, a brother, Phil (Rosie) Hochrein, St. Cloud, nieces and nephews also survive. The Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud is serving the family
