Russell Glynn, 68, of Oregon, died Monday. He was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Midland, where he was raised and educated.
A graduate of Midland High School, Mr. Glynn later moved to Bessemer, where he owned a resort on Lake Superior for 30 years and was manager of the Ironwood Chamber of Commerce for 10 years.
He then moved to Oregon, where he was a member of the Brookings Presbyterian Church and a member and past director of the Brookings Harbor Chamber of Commerce. He also was past president of the Steelhead Club and a member of the Elks Club for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; two sons, Richard J., of Georgia, and Russell Jr., of California; one brother, Clarence, of Iowa; five grandchildren; and one uncle, Charles Glynn Sr., of Midland.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Scott Wilson Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Ira A. Bush officiating. Burial will be in the Homer Township Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home Sunday and until time of service Monday. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association. Midland Daily News dated 3-9/1978
