Was an Italian road racing cyclist.

Winner of the Games of the Mediterranean,Luca Gelfi it is way therefore professional from the 1988 to the 1998.Ten years in which he is distinguished as valid cronoman, but also as reliable private soldier, able good sprints.
Winning of 2 tappes to the 90 Italy Turn,Gelfi reached second the Milan-Sanremo of 1993, behind the uproarious Fondriest. From a few years it was the team manager of a team juniores.
Defeated by the depression of which it suffered for a while, Luca Gelfi is killed, in his own shop of bicycles of Torre dè Roveri.
