Monsignor Lawrence J. McMahon, retired pastor of St. Mark Church, Stratford entered eternal life Tuesday December 15, 2009 in St Vincent M.C., Bridgeport. Msgr McMahon will be recieved into St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam La., Stratford on Sunday December 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. and lie in state until 7p.m. when a parish mass will be offered. His funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday in St. Mark Church at 11 am. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Msgr. Lawrence J. McMahon Memorial Scholarship Fund. which will benefit a student at St. Mark School who will attend a Catholic High School. The William R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford, is in care of arrangements.
