John R JENKINS
Sex: M
Birth: ABT 1878 in Carroll county, Arkansas
Death: ABT JAN 1880 in Liberty Twp, Carroll County, Arkansas
Cause: Strangulation (1880 mortality schedule, Carroll County AR)

Father: John Jenkins (1828-1904)
Mother: Elizabeth F Brown (1842-1899)
====================

The burial for the elder John Jenkins, the child's father, has not been located. He died in Tib, Collin county TX, on 19 Mar 1904, tended by a Dr. L. D. Richards, M.D., from Pike TX.
====================

I have found confirmation this child was NOT the child of Joseph Alexander Jenkins and Tennessee Alabama Dunlap.

His parents were John Jenkins and Elizabeth Brown. Federal Mortality Schedule for 1880 Census indicates he was over 18 months old at the time of his death, putting his birth date sometime in 1878 rather than 1880.

John Jenkins, his father, died in 1904 at Tib, in Collin County, TX. A Find-A-Grave memorial and burial location have not been found. His wife died in 1899 and is buried in Carrollton Cemetery in Carroll County AR.

So sorry for the mixup. C. Glass
