Andrew married his first wife, Matilda Lewis, on June 14, 1849 in Scott County, Illinois and they had several children: Lucy A., Mary, Sarah, William E., Maggie, 2/3 children born in the 1860's, George Oscar, Thomas, Ollie and Herbie Prather.
Andrew married his second wife, Winferd Inez "Winny" Herron Grimsley, widow of William F. Grimsley.
