CONDUCT SERVICES OF MRS. ELMER B. MARTIN, 55,TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Ann Martin, 55, of 1205 Tennessee, were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, in the chapel of the Sterne Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Logan officiating.

Mrs. Martin died about 11 a.m. Saturday in the Pike County Hospital of a heart condition. Death came about three hours after admittance. She had been hospitalized for 26 days in late May and early June.

The deceased was born Jan. 18, 1906, in Mexico to Dock M. and Pauline Inlow Edwards. She was married to Elmer B. Martin, who survives, on May 2, 1936. They marked their 25th anniversary last month.

Mrs. Martin was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher there until poor health forced her retirement several years ago.

Survivors are the husband, Elmer B. Martin of the home; her father, Dock M. Edwards of Kansas City; one stepson, John K. Martin of St. Louis; two brothers, Charles H. Edwards of San Francisco and George W. Edwards of Galveston, Texas; and two aunts, Mrs. Arthur Buchanan and Mrs. Nelle Cuneen, both of Louisiana.

Burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gaylord McDonald, Nappy Turnbough, George Woodward, Frank Edwards, Paul Reller and John Edwards.
