Was Former Consul and a Fourth Cousin of Grover Cleveland
Dr. Edward Young, who for 11 years was United States Consul at Windsor, Nova Scotia and formerly Chief of the Bureau of Statistics died at 8 o'clock last night at the residence of Captain P.D. Adams, 400 A Street Southeast. He was 95 years old and had been ill three weeks from kidney trouble and a complication of diseases. Dr. Young was a native of Wolfville, Nova Scotia and on his paternal side was a descendant of the Cleveland family, being a fourth cousin of the late President Glover Cleveland. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon from the Metropolitan Baptist Church, the Rev. Dr. Compton Ball officiating. Interment will be had in Oak Hill Cemetery in a plot where Dr. Young's wife and son are buried.
