Graveside services for Glenn B. Hilton, 80, of San Marcos will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in Gladewater Memorial Park with the Rev. Homer Hilton officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hilton passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, in New Braunfels.
He was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Wichita Falls. He worked with the Houston Local Pipefitter's Union 211. He attended University of Houston and LeTourneau University. He had lived in San Marcos for 10 years, moving there from Cut and Shoot. He served his country during World War II, serving in the 6th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, European Theater of Operations.
Mr. Hilton is survived by his wife, Jimmie Jean, of San Marcos; his mother, Willie Carl Hilton Vessel of Longview; his children, Henry L. Hilton and his wife, Debbie of Austin, Jedson D. Hilton and his wife, Debbie, of Willis, Sandy Hilton and Ron Heinz of Copperas Cove, Cathy and Joe Dowling of San Marcos, Charles and Dana Hunt of Beaumont and Carl and Barbara Hunt of Springfield, Va.; his brothers, Homer Hilton and his wife, Marilyn, of Longview, Jimmie Hilton and his wife, Geneva, of Angleton and Dayle Hilton of Gladewater; a sister, Modena Grooms of Longview; his grandchildren, Brenda, Sandra, Dana, Jennifer, Ben, Joshua, Peyton and William; his great-grandchildren, William and Mia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leta Hilton, and one son, Barry Hilton.
