DEATH OF WARD P. HODSON.
Mr. Ward P. Hodson, whose hopeless illness was referred to in Monday’s issue of this paper, died at noon yesterday in Brooklyn, of Bright’s disease. The remains will arrive here to-morrow morning via D.L. & W., and will be taken direct to the Aurora street Methodist Episcopal Church, where funeral services will be at ten o’clock. Mr. Hodson was but thirty-seven years of age. His untimely death removes a young man who was well known and universally like here, where his boyhood and early manhood were passed.
Mrs. James W. Berry of Elmira, a sister of the deceased, and the brothers, Dr. J.F. P. and Wiseman P. of New York arrived here this morning. Devoe P. Hodson Esq. of Buffalo, is expected this evening. Harry and Halstead are both sick at their respective homes and will not be able to attend the obsequies.
