A native of Louisville, KY, Draper came to Oklahoma City in 1894. He worked for a furniture store here. He move to Shawnee in 1899 where he was a partner in the Longmire-Draper furniture store.
He returned to Oklahoma City in 1909 and became a partner in the Funeral Home, until his retirement in 1945. He was a member of the Men's Dinner Club, Lion's Club and First Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Rice Draper of the home, and a daughter, Mrs. Hartwell Hill of Norman.
