Mrs. Gardner Dies in Home
Rites Set Today for Life Long Resident of Tyler County
Warren, Jan. 27 Mrs. Viola ( Aunt Bide)Gardner, 81, died at her home west of Warren at 1:55 p.m. Sunday afteran illness of five months.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of a Pioneer Family in Tyler County and was the daughter of Sarah Barclay Lindsey and J.O. Lindsey. She was a member of the Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of the County.
She is survived by one son C. B. Gardner of Warren ; five daughters, Mrs. W.F. Owens of Woodville, Mrs. J.T. Jenkins of Crockett, Mrs. J.F. Wilkinson of Beaumont, Mrs. C.C. Overstreet of Kountze, and Miss Hazel Gardner of Warren;
two brothers, R.L. Lindsey of Silsbee and J.T. Lindsey of Port Arthur; one Sister Mrs. D.W. Marsh of Port Arthur; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Family home. The Rev. B.F. Harper Baptist Minster of Warren, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lindsey Cemetery with Edwards Funeral Home of Woodville in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be W.F. Owens, J.T. Jenkins, J.F. Wilkinson, C.V. Overstreet, Bill English, and Lester Gardner.

Another daughter of John Gardner and Viola Lindsey is Anna Dell Gardner who married Jefferson Franklin aka Jeff Frank (also Jep) Wilkinson.
