Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 20 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Bill Volk officiating. Burial was in the St. Adalbert Cemetery in Little Falls.

Melvin W. Sahr was born on March 16, 1931, in Genola, MN, to the late Nicholas and Josephine (Hoheisel) Sahr. Melvin married Rita Henneck on Aug. 13, 1955.

Survivors include his wife Rita Sahr of Little Falls; sons, Thomas Sahr and fianceé Michelle of Little Falls, Lawrence Sahr and wife Cathy of Ham Lake, MN and Ronald Sahr and wife Lisa of Little Falls; daughters, Rose Jensen and husband Dave of Little Falls, and Joyce Mankowski and husband Bob of Ham Lake, MN; brother, Richard Sahr and wife Beverly of Little Falls; 9 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerome and a sister, Lavern Brausen.
