She married Jim Rounds on March 19, 1938 in Bentonville, Arkansas. The resided in Roger, Arkansas until they moved to Wenatchee in 1943. The later moved to Oroville in 1947. She was a worker at Valley Evaporator and at several warehouses in the area.
She also was a member of the Full Country Gospel Church and Oroville Senior Citizens.
Fern died February 27, 1993 at the North Valley Nursing Home in Tonasket.
