Ann Marie Sanders, 63, of Greeley and formerly of Loveland, died Nov. 17, 2006, in Greeley.

She was born Aug. 31, 1943, in Austin, Minn., to Wilbert and Winifred (Virnig) Baldus. She graduated from Austin High School in 1961.

She married Edwin Sanders on June 6, 1998.

Mrs. Sanders was employed at Hewlett-Packard and retired in 1991. After her retirement, she went to work at Star Tek for about 3-1/2 years.

She loved to cook and entertain. She owned and operated a bird store in Loveland for many years. She hand-raised baby cockatiels. She cared for and fed wild animals in her area. She loved animals, and animals loved her. She was a very sociable person. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Larimer Humane Society and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin; her daughter, Dawn; a grandson; sisters: Kimberlee Baldus and Virginia (Richard) Stensrud; and a brother, Charles Baldus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Shannon, and a sister, Sharon Peterson.

Interment at Evans Cemetery.
