Penny Waneta (Chandler) Darr, 44, wife of Thomas Darr, died July 14, 2009, at a Bangor hospital, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. She was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Lincoln, the daughter of Roland Chandler Sr. and Victoria (Milner) Chandler. Penny was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, Class of 1985. She worked at Penobscot Valley Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Lincoln, TOPS No. 203 and was actively involved with the Girl Scouts for 10 years. She enjoyed camping, shopping, going out to eat and riding motorcycles. She loved the color purple; her dog, Brutus; and her cat, Fluffy. In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is survived by two children.
