Calvin was born on August 16, 1924 in Iantha Missouri to Willard and Iva Sitts. He was their second son and my dad's younger brother.

The family lived in Missouri until 1935 when they moved to Idaho when Calvin was 11 years old.

He enlisted in the US Navy during WWII in 1944 and served until 1946. On August 3, 1947 Calvin married Janet Agnes Lucas. He owned a Wescott Oil service station. Calvin and Janet moved to Roseburg, Oregon where he worked in the lumber mills. In 1978 they moved to Nevada where he worked on the Valmy Power Plant construction project until he retired in 1980. They moved back to Idaho and lived there until his death in Houston, TX. He had an aneursym and was waiting to have surgery but the night before the surgey the aneursym ruptured and he died.

Calvin and Janet never had children but they were very devoted to their nieces and nephews. In fact when I was born they were certain that I was named (Janet LaRae) for them both. My mom said that wasn't how I got my name but my mom never told them different.

Calvin was survived by his wife Janet; 2 brothers, Willard (Irene) of Caldwell, Carol Dean (Annabelle) of Parma; sister Betty Ishisbash (Bob) of Homedale and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
