Mrs. Margaret Pierce Herron, 71, of 650 Audubon Road in Eden passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. There will be no formal service. Mrs. Herron was born in Norfolk, Virginia on September 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Elbert Leslie Pierce and Verda Greenlee Pierce. She was a retired telephone operator with C&P Telephone Company. She is survived by her husband James L. Herron; her sons, Perry L. Edwards, Jr. and wife Janet of Eden and Timothy P. Edwards and wife Kathy of Lenoir; her stepsons, James Herron of New York and David Herron of Georgia; her mother, Verda L. Pierce; her five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
