Otto Robert Ladd, age 83, of Maumee, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Ridgewood Manor Care Center, Maumee.

Otto was born in Danville, IL on July 9, 1926 to Clinton C. and Molly Ladd.

Otto was employed with Babcock Dairy for 35 years until his retirement.

He was an Army veteran during the Korean War.

His memberships included Swanton American Legion Post, lifetime member and past commander of VFW #606 and 38th Infantry, Company M, VFW Post 2510, Military Order of Cooties and Teamsters Union Local 20. Otto was also an avid bowler.

He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Betty Lombardo; sons, Alan (Jenni) Ladd, Tony (Rebecca) Ladd; grandchildren, Russell, Victoria, Adron and Emily.

Also surviving are sisters, Joann (Frank) Myrice and Carol Jean Zervas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; parents; daughter, Nancy Mills; brothers, Bill, Louis and James Ladd, Bob Thompson and stepmother, Eva Ladd.

Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
